The Illawarra Folk Festival takes place at Bulli Showgrounds across Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week, the huge line up includes Felicity Urquhart, Handsome Young Strangers, Stiff Gins, Emily Duncan, Penelope Church, Shalani and many more.
Local funk rock crew Hot Pursuit kick off the week of live music at La La La's with a huge line up of supports including The Chordroys, Purple Disturbance, Roomates and Doctor Robot. On Sunday at La La La's it is Stunts, Dead Party Dead, Blast Module and So I Says To Mabel. Bootleg Rascal drop into play at La La La's on Thursday.
The Gnomes are one of the most talked about new rock bands coming out of Melbourne and they are in town to play Dicey Rileys this Saturday, best of all it is free entry. Other free shows around town include Lloyd & The Leftovers at Towradgi Beach Hotel on Friday and Spill Kit at Ryans Hotel in Thirroul on Saturday.
Friday night at Society City has Chikan Chef with special guests No Cake, Nasty Insects and Pipoltr. The Servo are back at it this week with Lucas Abela and Wollongong on Friday, with Grxce and the Kilbeys on Saturday, while Lux Trevis plays Thirroul Railway Hall on Friday.
