On Wednesday I was in Sydney as part of the judging panel for the Australian Music Prize, once again it was another tough year to pick a winner from the shortlist and taking it out this year was West Australian artist Kankawa Nagarra. It is an amazing album that not many people probably know about from the elder who was part of the stolen generation. Yours & Owls is back in full flight next year, just announcing dates for the start of March and there are some solid artists on the line up, here are some personal picks. Starting with Fontaines DC who recently released one of my favourite albums of the year, Romance. Hockey Dad have been mainstays of the festival and it will be great to see them back on a big local festival stage for the first time since 2021.
