A tribute night to celebrate Ben Hession's life and contributions to the creative community, will be an all day showcase of live music and poetry at UOW UniBar on Saturday March 14.
Dozens of artists, poets, performers and members of the community have offered up their time and talents to make this happen. The absolutely overwhelming response reflects the kind of dedication Ben inspired, and is a testament to his lasting impact on the local scene.
Alongside performances, there will be a Gong-centric raffle of items donated by the community for attendees on the day. All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to Vox FM 106.9, where Ben hosted his weekly Australian Independent Music Show for decades, and the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.
Come along and share happy memories of one of Wollongong's most valued members of the scene, and a beloved mate. We wish Ben could be there to enjoy it too.
