A Clean Kitchen

Cheap Gloomer, the recording project of Creed McTaggart has today announced the release of a second full length album A Clean Kitchen via the Silhouette Label on July 25th along with sharing the latest single My Spice.

Swapping the surf for the studio, Creed delivered the first taste of the album earlier in the year with the release of the singles It’s Alright and King Of Clowns, and now is ready to unveil the album in its entirety.

A Clean Kitchen at its heart has a sentimental sixties rock/folk feel to it but moves outside these realms at times as well. “It is a mix of emotions, some love songs, some emo songs and some songs I have no idea what they are about.” explains Creed.

Written on the road while surfing around the world, Creed hit The Shed studio in Stanwell Park with producer Jez Player and recruited a bunch of musical friends to help bring the album to life in the studio. The studio band features James Kates(The Pinheads/Shining Bird/Bimbo) on drums, Steve Bourk(Hockey Dad/Step-Panther/Bimbo) on bass, Russell Webster(Shining Bird) on keys and Luke Player(The Pinheads/Tropical Strength/Richie Weed) with some lead guitar contributions. “Jez played a big part in making the tunes come to life and the band gave the songs a 3D aspect” says Creed of the contributions in the studio.
