"Is This How I Die?" is Sydney outfit Clay J Gladstone's debut full-length album. Described as "sad-party-punk" by Josh Merriel from Triple J's Short Fast Loud, Clay J's manic yet vulnerable lyricism is on full display in this 13-track debut. Lead singer Wisbey documents his mental health struggles following the sudden passing of his father at age 19. Teaming up with ARIA award-nominated producer Shane Edwards (The Libertines, Trophy Eyes, You Me At Six) and Dan Antix (Stand Atlantic, Pist Idiots), "Is This How I Die?" captures a uniquely gritty yet polished aesthetic. Every song is a standout single candidate, showcasing Clay J's musicianship and the unique energy these five lads create collectively.
