If you're not heading south for the weekend there is plenty happening back here in Wollongong and surrounds, starting off at La La Las on Friday night with a tribute to the late Bingo Steve headlined by Voltage Hounds. Saturday night is a big one at La La La's with Totally Unicorn headlining an huge line up that also features Raised As Wolves, Princess Unit and Dick Move. Also at La La La's next Wednesday New Blood returns with Wisdom Teeth, Claimsmake, Giraffe Head and Light Years. There is more fresh local music the following night at the same venue with Earl Gray, Roomates, Sunder and Rattlegun.
Richie Weed will launch his brand new album Strays locally on Friday night at the Heritage Hotel with support from Tropical Strength and Johnny Batchelor. On Saturday evening at Seeker Brewing in Unanderra it is CJ Strange and Humble. On Sunday at Frank's Wild Years in Thirroul it is Sunbeam Sound Machine and Russell W.
Waves hosts shows both nights this week with Friday night featuring the Melbourne Ska Orchestra, while Spiderbait take to the stage on Saturday night supported by Polish Club and Grinding Eyes.
