A big week of live music in Wollongong kicks off on Friday May 17th at La La Las with Dropping Honey launching their new single Branches with support from The Escarpment and Tropical Strength. Also happening on Friday night, Australian music icon Ian Moss of Cold Chisel fame is playing at Anita's Theatre in Thirroul.
The last Running Of The Bulls mini fest was put on by La La Las co-owner Pat long before the venue was even and idea, and this Saturday along with fellow co-owner Strat they have pulled some alumni and new projects of artists that played the original event, added some fresh blood and curated a fantastic event that includes Chimers, Private Wives, Mother & Son, The Holy Soul and more. It kicks off at 5pm on Saturday at La La Las.
It is not the only mini fest happening on Saturday, down at the fantastic Filmores in Kiama they are teaming up with Yakka for an event that features Uplifting Bellends, Tropical Strength, Plain Wonder, Russell W, Sevilles and more. It kicks off at 3pm.
If you like it heavy, Saturday night also gives you two great options with Rawus Tongue headlining a free show at Dicey Rileys while Iron Blanket and Ultra Vires hit the stage at the Servo in Port Kembla.
If you are lucky enough to have tickets, Angie McMahon is playing at Anita's Theatre on Saturday night on a tour in support of her brilliant latest album.
Rounding out the weekend, The Tin Knees headline the Yours & Owls Sunday session at the North Gong Hotel, and as always it is free entry.
