A solid lot of Australian releases for the last part of the year

Jeb Taylor

As usual there have been some great Australian albums released this year but the schedule hasn’t been as stacked as in the last few years. It appears this is about to change however with a huge list of Australian albums dropping in the last quarter of the year. As well as this, the reissue game of especially nineties classics has stepped up. Heading the pack, Tame Impala has announced the release of Deadbeat in October, the first few singles have been very interesting so it will be great to hear where the full album goes.

Just recently there has been announcements of fresh albums from Stella Donnelly, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers and Hatchie. These ones are all up for pre order now, and the announcements have all come alongside solid singles. Some earlier announced albums both coming in October come from Newcastle’s dust and Frankston’s Belair Lip Bombs.

Alongside the fresh releases, some big rcords from the nineties have recently been announced as first time on vinyl releases. These includes the Budd ep Ovit, Spiderbait’s classic album The Unfinished Galleon Of Finley Lake, and The Cruel Sea album Three Legged Dog. All of these are up for pre order here on the site or instore.
