Put Your Records On : The Strike-Outs

Jeb Taylor

Local duo The Strike-Outs have just released a brand new full length of high energy punk rock n roll sounds that we have in stock now. If you're a fan of the urgent, in your face punk rock stylings of Motorhead and Zeke, as well as the rawness of garage rock mainstays The Oblivians and the Mummies, you should really love this album. the bands drummer Adam joined us for Put Your Records On.

Your first record...

Metallica 'Master of Puppets'
I had a cassette of this album first but upgraded to a vinyl copy when I got my first turntable. Probably still their best album.

The album that changed your musical outlook...

Ramones 'Ramonesmania'
This comp introduced me to all things Ramones and I've never looked back. It proved to me that great songs don't need to be 8 or 10 minute epics and if they are distilled down to just the essential and vital elements they are way more exciting.

An Album that you love but is not widely known as it should be...

High Tension Wires 'Send A Message'
A damn near perfect album full of fast, razor tight, catchy '77 type garage punkers.

The record that drew you in with it’s visuals...

Mummies 'Never Been Caught'
Just by looking at the cover you can tell that this album is gonna be awesome....and it is.

The album you are currently loving the most at the moment...

Sick Fizz - The Future Is the Pits
Super fun, rockin' and stompin' future Aussie classic.

The Strike-Outs self titled album is out now, you can grab it here.
