Your first album. It can be the first record/cd/tape you bought, first album downloaded or just the first album you remember hearing that stuck with you.
The first album I bought was Reckless by Bryan Adams on cassette tape. I was 7 when Waking Up The Neighbours came out and my Dad had that on in the car all the time, me and my sister knew every word! Then I was in a record shop in Liverpool and saw that this guy who’d made this album we loved actually had another album, so I bought it and fell in love with that one too!
The album that changed your musical outlook. It can be your most influential,one that led you down a certain path, or had a long-lasting impact on you.
It would have to be OK Computer by Radiohead. I was 13 when it came out and I remember listening to it for the first time on my friend’s CD Walkman on the way home from school one day and it just blew my mind. Still does.
An album that you love but is not as widely known as it should be.
Haha, my side project albums (Sunship Balloon and Dan The Man)!? No guess that’s not really allowed as my choice so I’d probably choose Jon Hopkins album Music For Psychedelic Therapy, just put that on in a dark room and lie down. Really helps calm my brain down. So good!

Haha, funnily enough, one of the first CDs I ever bought was purely because of the artwork. It was Fat of the Land by Prodigy, I was 13. We didn’t have streaming or internet then and I’d never heard their music before but I saw that big crab on the cover and thought, wonder what that sounds like! And loved it!
The album you are currently loving the most at the moment.
Sable, Fable by Bon Iver. It’s just beautiful. I listen to If Only I Could Wait before every show us Wombats play at the moment, just calms me down and gets me in the right zone.
