This week’s column comes from the heat of Tokyo where I’m currently digging for some fresh records for the shop, the first lots of them will hit the shelves later next week and then there will be more getting shipped back that will arrive later in the year.
Out today is the brand-new EP from Sesame Girl, another great release that takes influences from the dreampop and shoegaze bands of the nineties such as Mazzy Star, The Sundays and Slowdive, and gives it a modern edge like what artists like Wednesday, Soccer Mommy and Beabadoobe are doing. Next week the highly anticipated Phoebe Bridgers album is out and we’re having a big celebration at the store on Thursday August 13th. We’ll have DJ’s spinning Phobe adjacent music, there will be an exclusive variant, and you will even have a chance to win a 7” of Lost Boys signed by Phoebe.
