This morning Adelaide duo TOWNS announced the release of their debut full length album Sentimental Slowdown on November 15th via Farmer & The Owl. Alongside the album announcement was the release of the latest single Tantrum and a string of tour dates. The duo are such a fun and energetic band and a must see live! There are a bunch of great live music events coming up throughout October that I wanted to remind you about. This weekend Shining Bird continue their Open Ground album tour with shows in Sydney and Wollongong. Next Friday night, Silhouette Label present the Spring showcase at El Horses in Nowra and featuring a line up of Steve Bourk, Tropical Strength, Blistar and Sevilles. At the end of this month Coalchella is happening at Coledale RSL on Sunday October 27th, tickets are selling quick with a line up featuring Grace Cummings, Shining Bird, Antenna, Sevilles and more. While it is always fun playing party DJ sets, it’s always great to bring out some different records and on Friday October 18th, I’ll be dragging out the country records for an On The Range DJ’s set at Howlin Wolf for their Wild West Night. It’s free entry and the Quarter Horse Club Band will also be playing live.
