It’s time to start thinking about albums of the year, we’ve just started counting down our best sellers, and we’ve also opened up voting for your favourite albums, with the chance to win an Audio Technica LP120 turntable. It has been a year that at times I have thought wasn’t as strong for the album, but when I went to Australian Music Prize judging and as I try to narrow down my list, it is stronger than I initially thought. I’m interested to see what everyone votes for!
Next Friday December 12th I’ll be returning to my roots in a way for my Afternoon Delight set at La La La’s. With the show upstairs later that night featuring Robot God, and the fact a couple of bands I grew up listening to, in Grinspoon and You Am I are playing Waves that night, I thought it was a good time to play some records aligned to this. I’ll be spinning a bunch of stoner rock, garage punk, heavy psych, grunge and power pop tunes all on vinyl., it happens from 5pm til 8pm.
