Record Store Day is next Saturday! We’ll have lots of RSD exclusive releases available this year, and if you head over to this link here, we’ll be adding the titles as they arrive. The full list will hit inboxes and socials next Friday April 17th. This year we aren’t hosting any live music as This year we aren't having live music as there are so many incredible shows already happening around town that evening such as Pod People/Witchskull at La La La's, Dappled Cities at Unibar and The Pinheads, Sesame Girl and more at Port Kembla Festival. If you feel like hearing some party tunes after RSD, I’ll be on the decks from 8pm at Howlin Wolf.
Also on next Saturday is Port Kembla Festival, and it marks the return of The Pinheads. The band release three albums and an EP via Farmer & The Owl, toured through Europe a couple of times, played SXSW in Austin, Texas and built a cult following around Australia. They’ve been very quiet for the last few years so it will be great to see them back on stage for the first time in three years. We have a bunch of their records in stock at the shop and if you need a refresher of what they sound like, check the video below.
Also playing festival are Sesame Girl who just dropped a great new single yesterday, another dream-pop/country-gaze gem, check out the clip for it below and look forward to more new music from them soon, Port Kembla Festival is a free event so make sure you get along and check them out on Saturday evening.
