It’s a brief column this week as just I jumped on a plane and headed to the USA to attend the Austin Record Convention and dig for records around Austin, Houston and Los Angeles, I’ll also be making a stop in Tokyo on the way home. My Record Stores Of The World blog has been quiet the last few years, but I hope to capture a fair bit for it over the next couple of weeks. First visit tofday was Catctus Music in Houston, Texas.
Totally Unicorn has just released a killer new single, the second in a series of singles they are recording at different studios around the country. You can have a listen to it below and catch their incredible live show later this month in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Speaking of live shows, Running Of The Bulls is back at La La La’s next week and features an incredible line up. The event is curated by La La La’s owners Strat and Pat, with a history stretching back well over a decade before the venue existed. The line up features a rare show from Mother & Son, sets from rising local artists Cool Jumper, Sevilles, Bimbo and Misso, Canberra punk rock revivalists Sonic Reducer and plenty more. It all happens at La La La’s on May 10th.
